Best way to travel between Singapore and Kuala Lumpur

Recently, while exploring Singapore’s many food hawker stands and historical sites, I had to make travel plans to my next destination, Malaysia. Did you know there is an alternative way to travel between Singapore and Kuala Lumpur and other destinations in Malaysia?

I had always flown, which is a quick one-hour flight. As many who travel know, it is not the length of the flight but the pre-fight time that often takes a great deal of time out of our schedules.

Around the world, security has tightened, requiring travelers to arrive at the airport two to three hours before their flights to clear immigration and security, only to wait and hope that their flights are on time without delays.

I was excited to hear about Aeroline, a luxury brand bus line with multiple daily options between Singapore and Kuala Lumpur. You may be saying, I know about couch bus lines, and I do too. I have taken them throughout Europe and other various countries.

Aeroline has a different prototype for luxury services. They treat your travel as though you were taking a flight in a business-class seat.

The comfortable leather seats recline to the individual view of the entertainment console. There are various movies and music to choose from during your journey. The Areoline Crew of Three is fantastic and highly customer service-based. From the assistance loading the luggage to the expert driver and updated announcements along the journey.

In my opinion, the customer service in many areas surpasses some of the commercial airlines.

I gave it a go for the reasonable amount you pay for your one-way ticket.

Your ticket includes:

Free water bottle

Free premium headphones

Free movies and music entertainment on a private console

Free blanket

Seat plug charger

Free coffee and tea

Free seat selection

Meal included in your ticket with a choice of vegetarian options

One piece of luggage ( extra bag at a small charge)

Immigration stops with advance guidance

Rest stop

On-time Departure and Arrival

Clean and Air Conditioning Environment

One crew member was assigned to assist guests with food, beverages, and any questions.

Remember that one-hour flight?

If you are like me and often fly on a budget airline, each of these items costs you more money, making that flight deal advertised doubled!

You may be asking how long it takes for the entire trip.

On average, it takes between 5-6 hours, including two immigration-required stops, which are seamless. I highly recommend you complete the required documents before leaving home to expedite your immigration process.

Additionally, a 15-minute break is added for additional comfort for their customers to stretch.

If you add the time you must arrive at the airport early for your flight and the flight itself, you will be in the same time frame.

The other advantage I found was that Kuala Lumpur Airport and Singapore Airport are 30 minutes to 1 hour from the city center. Flying requires extra time to get another mode of transportation or car to get to your accommodations.

I found with Aeroline that the pickup was at a central area in Singapore, the harbor center, and the drop off was in the city center of Kuala Lumpur at a local hotel, eliminating the need for a $25-30 taxi ride to the city center.

Meal Service

The food served was a bento box of rice, fresh vegetables, and meat. For vegetarians, seasoned tempeh was delicious and freshly made. I don’t know about you, but I can’t eat airplane food. It is so full of perspectives and salt.

It was a simple meal but perfect for lunch. Hot tea and coffee were offered after with a friendly smile by the attendant dressed in a suit of black and yellow, the Aeroline colors.

The coach is set up with a downstairs and up. There are single-seat rows on the left side and two seats on the right side, allowing ample leg room for stretching out. Window curtains can close and block the sun if you so desire.

The Aeroline coach is a spotless and comfortable environment to relax or get some work done on the small table that can be accessed from the armrest.

Cost

The cost of a one-way ticket as of writing this article is $50.SDG.

As I stated, the typical cost for an additional bag is SDG 10.

It will depend on whether you travel to Singapore or from Kuala Lumpur. Check out the other destinations, such as Penang.

Regardless, the price is well worth it!

Tips When you are booking:

When you enter the website and select your destination and time, you must pay before selecting your seat. I would recommend that you check a couple of times and the seats available before you book to make the best selection for you.

Once you pay, select your seat.

Take a screenshot of your ticket. The QR code will be your ticket to scan. Printing tickets is always a great idea just to be safe.

Note: You can not pre-pay for any extra bag before your trip. Ensure you arrive 30 minutes before departure and go to the counter to pay for your bag. They will tag it there.

In Singapore’s Harbor Center Terminal area, Aeroline is on the second floor, tucked away by the seven-eleven. It has a lovely lounge to wait in for departures. There are many food choices in the terminal if you arrive early, along with the seven-eleven next door for a couple of snacks for your trip.

It is refreshing to find a company that focuses on customer satisfaction, Which, in recent years, the airlines have been lacking at times.

My only regret was that I had not experienced Aeroline prior since they have been operating for the last 12 years. I look forward to my next trip with Aeroline.

Contact me and let me know your experience if you have taken Aeroline.

Safe and Happy Travels,
