The Perfect Cup of Tea

The perfect way to brew a cup of Black Tea

Have you ever enjoyed a cup or pot of tea at your favorite cafe and tried to DIY it when you went home without the same results?

Did you know using too hot water will not only burn the tea but kill all the benefits and antioxidants and oils that benefit our health? Additionally, over-brewing will naturally reduce caffeine in your cup of tea. The color may be darker, but the caffeine level will be reduced. I spoke to a leading expert to learn and pass on the tricks of the trade to you.

1-3 minutes perfect level of caffeine and will not be bitter

If you want a strong tea add more of your high-quality tea, NOT longer brewing time

Many people say they experience gastric problems or have problems sleeping at night when drinking tea. The length of time and temperature during the brewing process may be linked to these issues. Follow the expert’s suggestions and let me know if his advice worked for you.

Ingredients

Loose tea leaves- 3-5 grams ( this will make one cup of tea, so multiple as needed)

Small ceramic or glass teapot

Tea or coffee cup

Tea kettle to heat water or small pot on the stove 70 -90 degrees Celsius, no hotter than 90 degrees Celsius

Steps

Heat the water to 70-90 Celsius, not boiling; that will burn the tea and kill all the Benefits, antioxidants, and oils of the tea

Heat and fill the tea vessels both with your heated water cup and the pot for brewing your tea

Then discard water after 1 minute.

Add your 3-5grams of loose tea leaves to your cup or multiply for a pot of tea

Add your heated water to 70-90 degrees Celsius

Brew no longer than 5 minutes or less this is very important

Remove the tea leaves from the pot or cup by strainer after the allotted time

Then time to enjoy your perfectly brewed cup of tea.

If you choose to use a tea bag or sachets, use the same steps above but reduce the time of brewing to 3 minutes no longer. Remove the tea bag or sachets.

Life is like a cup of tea. It’s ALL in how you make it.
